ahhh i don’t know what to write. i’m just over excited by the fog which came from mountains and covered the whole city. it was like something like an end of the days which struck the city. it seems like we will gonna be punished like ppl in sodoma and gomorah. (i haven’t seen anyone fucking with same gender but u know what i mean:)

the next day weather looked a bit better and even the sun was shinning time to time. i packed up my stuff said goodbye to esther and others and went to an internet cafe for some time. around lunch i’ve met some cyclist in front of the cafe. he was about to go to rotorua. i couldn’t have provided any information due to coming to taupo different way but got some info from him. it will be nice and gentle riding according to him.

the weather was beautiful. there were some hills to go through but nothing that would have killed me. i did approx 50 kms just before turangi. i camped two days on the beach of the taupo lake. first day was raining badly but the day after was super. even my tent was dry enough to be packed without much care. i stuffed all my things into the bags and started cycling. it was flat ride to turangi and then 3 kms to the national park junction.

it started raining a bit so there was the time to check what my brand new uniform can do with it. there was 400 meters up to climb on approx. 4 kms. i got wet very much which wasn’t sexy at all. if somebody have had to steam some broccoli or bok choy leaves he could easily put it in my pants and let me going for 5 minutes and it would be done :D

just to give you an idea how bad it was. it was raining constantly for next 5 hours. my farming uniform gave up and i was soaked as much as a sponge in backpackers’ sink. too bad for me. i was in area of ‘nothing, no one around’. i stopped in some lodge where thereby keeper wanted to charge me 16 dollars for pitching the tent!! bloody hell. i squeezed the best possible smile on him thanked and went on. after another 15 kms i was completely exhausted and demoralized. it was just a question of some safe place to get rid of wet clothes and put on some dry ones. there was it!!

i saw some shed and a house nearby. unluckily it was empty and it doesn’t seemed somebody will come in. i waited the whole hour with my teeth cracking. it was cold and it started raining again. i wrote some sort of ’sorry for camping in your shed, i got wet blablabla, travelling blablabla i don’t need anything from you. sorry again, me’.

i ended up camping two nights there because the weather is so shit here in ngauruhoe area in these days. the next day it rained from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. when at seven started again…

the next day it looked very welcoming to go out without being wet after few minutes. i’ve seen some blue skyies. to tell you the truth..it was a trap. i was cheated.

at ten i was on the road again whistling some rythms from the songs of monty python’s movies with my stomach making those starving noises. it was like a bass guitar tones :)

after 10 kms there was whakapapa junction with sign of skiing area which i commented ‘no thanks’ and continued in nearby lodge where it was signposted as cup of something. i wanted it to be the shop. it wasn’t! there was a very nice lady in the reception who gave me those coffee chocolates for free. she said she won’t let me fell off my bike because of not having enough energy.

then i continued until there was national park sign and a small town. i purchased some sweet shits from the 4 square shop which was pretty expensive. i asked that indian guy what the weather will be like and there was a short answer coming: ‘worser then now’. before getting on my bike i met another cyclist who was soaked completely. he came from the route i was about to follow. we changed few words and just before saying bye it started raining again. i was really pissed of and went to the closest backpackers. i bought one night and YHA card.

it came to be very good descision because rain was proggressing into the heavy rain drop.

i dryed my wet tent with my clothes get them washed and dryied then cooked some canned meat and beans and keep watching rain from inside. heated dorm room in this weather…priceless!

after a long shower not like an animal anymore.

i’m gonna watch some creepy movie on vhs as they have heaps of them in here. great.
